Scott Aniol, PhD, is an author, speaker, and teacher of culture, worship, aesthetics, and church ministry philosophy. He is Associate Professor and Chair of PhD Worship studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has authored several books and dozens of articles including Worship in Song: A Biblical Approach to Music and Worship (BMH, 2009) and By the Waters of Babylon: Worship in a Post-Christian Culture (Kregel, 2015). Scott is the Editor of Artistic Theologian, a scholarly journal of worship and church ministry, and serves as chair of the Biblical Worship Section of the Evangelical Theological Society. He also serves a worship pastor in his church in Fort Worth, TX. Scott holds a masters degree in Theological Studies (SWBTS), a masters degree in Aesthetics (NIU), and a PhD in Worship Ministry (SWBTS).
