David Winkler will lead this year’s EXPO Orchestra Retreat. Anyone who plays an orchestral instrument can be a part of this group. In addition to the plenary sessions everyone shares at the Renewing Worship EXPO, the orchestra will rehearse together during the three breakout sessions on Saturday. Registrants will receive PDFs of their parts to print out or load on their tablets prior to coming to the retreat. In addition to their music, participants will also bring their instrument and music stand with them. The orchestra will accompany one choral piece and play one feature song in the closing celebration.
David Winkler has enjoyed a multi-faceted career in music for over 40 years.
A graduate of the University of North Texas and the University of Texas at San Antonio, he has served as pianist, orchestra director, and minister of music in churches in Texas, Tennessee, and North Carolina.
