We have made this conference to be very affordable for the the vast array of excellent instruction that will be received. The cost is the same for the full conference registration whether or not you take advantage of one or two days of training. The only other options are the choir and orchestra retreats that are Saturday only and do not have access to the vast array of break out sessions offered either day.
The sessions will be held 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The reading sessions may be attended by anyone with a Full Conference registration. Packets of free music from the five publishers will provided those that attend the sessions.
Anyone who purchases a Full Conference Registration may attend the evening session with Mike Harland? This is not included in the choir retreat and orchestra retreat registration. See the next FAQ for information on how to attend the Mike Harland session AND one of the retreats.
You must purchase a Full Registration to attend Friday classes with one exception–you may pay to attend the Master Class with Sheri Gould as an add-on to your retreat registration. Otherwise, you can purchase a Full Registration and have access to the reading sessions, Friday evening classes, and choose to attend one of the retreat tracks on Saturday. Choose the Worship Leader track if you want to purchase the Full Registration and take advantage of Friday classes and attend a retreat on Saturday.
The Master Class with Sheri Gould will cater more specifically to the needs of the individuals in the class. Sheri will do a quick assessment from each attendee and ask them what, specifically, they would like to take away from the day. Then she will incorporate that into the class. Additionally, we will offer 10 attendees the opportunity to sing in front of the class and receive coaching from Sheri.
The Master Class has an additional cost of $10 per person to attend. The first ten people who want to receive coaching will pay $20 for the class and the coaching opportunity.
Invitations to sign up for the master class will be sent to those who purchase a full registration and those who sign up a group for the choir or orchestra retreat. Invitations will be going out by August 15.
This group has the greatest flexibility.
On Friday afternoon, you can choose to go to the choral music reading sessions with five publishers or sign up (extra cost) for the Master Class with Sheri Gould. Friday evening is a great time with Mike Harland.
On Saturday, there are three breakout classes. Look over the numerous offerings and choose those that will best meet your needs. You might want to sit in on one of Sheri Gould’s vocal classes, attend a session of the choir or orchestra retreats, check out some technologies that will help your church, and so much more!
That is a difficult question to answer. The organizers of this event need several weeks of prior notice to best handle the crowds. The numbers are limited in some of the tracks due to space limitations. We recommend signing up those that you know will attend now and signing up others later, rather than waiting until you know all your numbers. Space is limited and we do expect some tracks to sell out.
We are committed to offering this type of event next year as long as the support for the event this year warrants it.
